What a pretty tabby. I agree. All my cats have been from shelters.
Also, if you live in Irvine, the animal shelter here is pretty good (thank goodness) and has a great volunteer program. They need animal lovers to come walk the dogs and play with the cats, giving each animal one-on-one attention to help acclimate them to people and give them a better chance of being adopted. I used to go over there for an hour or two each week and sit with a cat on my lap and study, until my asthma got too bad to take so many kitties at once. |
